[tropical fish club] DIY media

 

Hello all,
I told you all tonight that I set up the canister filter today. I didn't have
the large ceramic media to put in the filter. I used the smaller ceramic stuff
that I have on the bottom + some pillow stuffing and the small bags of black
stuff that was in the filter and the blue then white pads that were also in the
filter.

Is there a way I can make my own larger media? I really don't have another 50
dollars to spend on media right now. Can I keep doing what I have now with out
causing problems worse than it needing cleaned often? Thanks!!
