I wish that it would die off in my tanks. If I am not careful and get one piece in a tank that had not had it, it will take over the top of the tank in just a couple of weeks. I try to scoop it out at least once a week and feed to my Severums and also the Festivums. These two cichlids do eat it but it is not their favorite. I make sure to feed them less during the times that the duckweed is in the tank with them.
