Poor thing. But, from what I've been reading, Velvet doesn't always kill
that quickly - I found this which may be of help -

I'm no expert, so I'll leave further comment to those on the board, but
from what I can see it may be best to continue with the velvet
medication and raise the temp in the tank (as per the instruction in the
link above).
