I have been using aquarisol to treat them and have raised the temperature to 86 degrees along with diatom filter usage once a day. It seems to be working. The diatom filter will trap any free swimming ick in the water. I think one little spore can hatch 10,000 cysts. My problem started when I forgot to plug the heater back in after doing a cleaning and water change(New York is pretty cold right now) good luck with the battle.
