Hi,
I'm fascinated with the impact technology is having on fly fishing. I compare how I fish with how my grandfather fished and it boggles my mind.
I buy gear online and have it delivered to my door step. He made most of his gear.
Before I hit the road, I use the internet to check the weather and river conditions. He looked out the window then walked.
I use a GPS device while I'm wading unfamiliar water. He always carried a compass.
I take pictures of the fish, scenery, and wildlife with my point and shoot camera that fits in my vest pocket. He told great stories.
Do you have other examples of how technology helps, or hurts, your fishing?
Thx,
Mike
