Thanks Larry! I am attached to the crispus variety, in part because of the flowers they produce. Yrs ago I had a designer tank set up and I filled it with crispus bulbs... when the bulbs flowered, the flowers grew up out of the water and it was a very pretty sight. My youngest daughter was only a few yrs old back then and she fell in love with the flowers also. Every time I would do a water change she would tell me "don't hurt the pretty flowers mama". I am planning to let her set up a larger tank this winter and was hoping to surprise her with some crispus bulbs for it... will just have to keep looking.
Funny 10 - 12 yrs ago crispus was so easy to find around here (and it was cheap) and now nobody has been able to get it for the past few yrs.

The package just says "hybrid aponogeton bulbs". My new ones aren't up
enough yet to tell what I've got, but the last time there were several
different varieties. The crispus the ones with the long ruffled
leaves, right? If so, I got 2 of those out of the last batch. But no
guarantees - this batch could be totally different.
Note that undulatus also has the ruffled leaves - mine could have been
that or could have been a hybrid between the two. They finally outgrew
my 30 and 40 gallon tanks and I gave them to a friend with larger tanks
- last time I asked he still had them and thought they were great.
I've never tried propagating them - if I get any crispus/undulatus this
time maybe I'll try it.
