That is so true how animals can let you know something isn't quite right.

I sawe thecoolest thing the other day. I was working in the living putting up
some ceiling fans so i had to drill the ceiling. I didnt want any dust in the
tank i covered it and yurn off the filter and the air pump. Within the hour all
the snails came out of hiding, there are 15 in this planted tank and u hardly
ever see one. Making there way to the water line with snorkels extended.
Once i got the ir pump back on they started to desend again. Once i cleaned out
the filter the snails all disapeared again. It reminded me of keeping parakeets
in the mines as a test of air quality. So when i get my new tank set up ill
make sure there are mystery or apples snails i cause they are such and
incredible clean up crew and fascinating to watch.
