It is criminal!!

I have one 7" goldfish in a 75 gallon tank and he plugs two HOB filters each
week.

I am very interested in this topic as when my son was young we had very poor
success in keeping fancy goldfish.

Could you confirm that the gallons you mention are US Gallons and not imperial.

I have done some US Gallon conversion to litres and it seems that Goldifsh need
very large tanks which is where I am sure I went wrong all those years ago. If
this is the case it is criminal for Fish Shops to sell very tiny tanks and bowls
to keep them in!!
