A few years ago I bought a package of aponogeton bulbs at Walmart. None
of them sprouted so I sent to the address on the package and they sent
me fresh bulbs. All of those sprouted. A couple of months ago I tried
again. This time one sprouted. Back to the grower and again I got a
package of fresh ones in the mail. Again they all sprouted.
Seems a shame I can't just buy direct, but at least I know how to solve
the problem :-).
