I bought some rubber disks from an online plant supplier. They are
slotted into 4 fingers that you poke the plant through and they push
against the stem. I used them on live plants, but they should work for
plastic ones as well. Putting one of those lead weights someone else
mentioned below the disk should keep the plastic from sliding up as well
as adding weight.
