Hello,
I'm pretty sure infurosria isn't a virus. They are microscopic animals.

Bill.
Infusoria are naturally ocurring virus present in most tanks. They are very
easy to grow. Get 3 clear glass jars and half fill with tank water. Then u
need something to get it going. You can use any kind of rotting vegitble or
meat and some will add and alga tablet to the mix. After a few days the
mixtiure will turn white. Pick the best colonies and discard the others. Use
this one to start a new one with more tank water. Planted tanks are best they
cointasin more infusoria. Now just wait another couple of days and the water
will clear or turn red. This is a good sign it means that the infusoria
consummed the bacteria.
What you do at this point. Is to take some of your batch to seed the next
batch. I try to keep 3 batches working. I use a turkey baster to feed them 5
times a day. I throw out the old batch when i put some in the tank and the fish
dont go crazey.
