[tropical fish club] Live Plants

 

I am in the process of breaking down most of my tanks as I am moving. I
have a lot of live plants, but some of my tanks have hair algea problems. I
would like to move the plants to the new set up tanks, but I don't want to
transport the hair algea to the new tanks. Any suggestions as to how to
kill off the hair algea so that I don't have to pitch my live plants? Would
cutting them down to the root work?
