In order for any of us to really help you we'd need to know where Hoffman Estates or Palantine are located. What state for starters, including the county or a nearby city would sure help. This group has an international membership; we can cover a lot of ground if you can give us a good start up point.

Does anyone know of a good cat fish or carp spot near Hoffman Estates or palatine just moved here and need to scout out the area for fishing spots. thanks for any input
