Fish: Re: [S&F and Reef Aquariums] issue with overflow

Hi rick and gang,

I got the previous problem sorted out and it is just one thing after another for me. My tomato clown suddenly came down with this. The LFS says bacterial but I want a second opinion. My issue is I have corals in my tank and full of live rock. I need something which doesn't involve catching and separating him. I need some medication I can use in the tank that is safe for the corals and rest of the inverts. Please advise.

I use my sponges, but wash them religiously. No bio filters allowed. Purely mechanical....pulls out all kinds of gunk. Rick

I think it was the sponge in the overflows. I took it off and it started pushing more water to the sump. I use a wet dry filter in the sump and the water coming off the tank is first passed thru that filter. Should I bother replacing the sponge in the overflow or just leave it out

Stating the obvious: Needs more water in the tank? Clog in supply/return line? Broken impeller in pump? Crap in the intake of pump? Sponges/filter media clogged/dirty? Let us know.....Rick
