I agree the fish can fast for 2 weeks, its much safer than letting someone else
feed them or doing it with a device that could fail and spoil the tank. Many a
well meaning care taker have killed the fish they were watching usually with
what they think is kindness.

I thik you dont need to automatic feeder because all fishes can live for two
week with out food.
the automatical feeders break soon. maybe ,if you buy a good one its good,...I
