Ivie Reservoir is off to a roaring start in the 2011 Toyota ShareLunker Program. Meanwhile, angler Bobbie Gayle keeps her own run of lunkers going. Gayle caught a 14-pound lunker Dec. 15 that was the first of the season for Ivie. However, it was Gayle's third fish entered into the trophy bass program, putting her into a distinctly select group of anglers with three fish to their credit. Then, on Jan. 1, 15-year-old Nathan Pena-Alfaro of Benbrook caught the second lunker It was the 506th all time lunker entered into the program started by Texas Parks and Wildlife. According to TPWD's records, Ivie has produced 18 lunkers over the years, but 13 of them have been caught since Jan. 16 of last year. That's an amazing run of big fish for any lake and that could mean big things in store for Ivie in 2011.
