Sounds like he is healing so far so good. I will leave the questions to the
people with the answers!

Subject: [tropical fish club] Latest on fish
Hi Everyone,
I have read everyones messages. I have the idea of what im supposed ot do, but I
just wanted to clarify some things.
I have marshmallow in the 5 gal tank and I am doing a 50% water change per day,
using prime, melafix and a teaspoon of salt.
Im a bit confused about how much salt to do. If im putting a teaspoon in each
day and taking half the water out each day what level of salt does that leave me
with? I out about two teaspoons in with tonights water change.
I havent fed him. I am going to try borrow a camera to take a pic and show you
tomorrow.
The cut on hius back was silver where i assume it took his scales off, its now
kind of black and looks much like the rest of his body. Which im thinking is a
good thing?
The mouth flap is a tricky one, im starting to think it might be the lower part
of his mouth hanging off. Which is scaring the life out of. My boyfriend looked
at him and says it isnt because he saw him open his mouth fine. I just cant
tell, because everytime i go towards the tank he swims away :( which i dont
blame him considering i hurt him :( What would it mean if it was the lower part
of his mouth? Im imaging that its really bad if it is.
It doesnt look infected and the flap looks as if its dying.
Any help i appreciate
Thankyou
Amyx
