Hi Donna,
I cant believe his back went black so quickly. I thought as they dont scab it
would be discoloured forever more, but to see it almost identitical to the rest
is encouraging. One less wound is better for chance of infection. Obviously his
mouth is a huge concern.
I think what makes it a little hard to tell is, marshmallow is in the process of
turning orange. I thought it was ammonia burn (because id never seen it before)
when my other fish did this, hes a bobble eye fish "bobbles". Nope.. few weeks
later my black fish was bright orange! He still has kind of black eyes though.
Marshmallow is doing the same and it makes it hard to see if its red around
mouth or the continuation of his colour change.
The lfs says this does happen and its because sometimes the mother fish hangs
around with the wrong fish guy.. I dont knwo if they made this up.
