I'd suggest going with the Maroxy, as fungus coming out of the gills is nothing to take lightly, and this medication is designed to address this issue -- and I believe it to be more effective than Pimafix. Maroxy will also act as an antibiotic, primarily one which acts against gram-positive bacteria. No need to use Maracyn as it treats primarily against gram-positive bacteria too -- no need to repeat a similar medication. If it's a cottony growth, its not bacteria.
