Hey,Woody,not a bad way to open the season up,nice looking catch there.Been starting to warm up here,so have been thinking about digging out the tackle and checking everything,getting it ready,as I figure on doing some fishing this year.Wont be long until the spoonbills will be starting to run here,and I want another one of them or two this year.If I manage to catch another one,will try to post a pic or so.Good luck and tight lines all ! Hello all,

Season opened officially for me today...first launch, on North Reservoir, ...first bass, a nice 14 1/2" fish just under two pounds, ...on a new outfit...St.Croix Mojo/Daiwa HSTA Advantage Combo. Landed this one on a silcer #8 original shad rap. Not bad for a two hour shakedown cruise. I'm a happy guy. This lake was iced over a week ago. As an added bonus, I figured out how to download pictures from my new cell phone (always interesting huh?) They were apparently too big to attach from my document file so here they are resized to html through my photobucket account.

We´ve had a very rainy summer down here.... besides, due to my job I couldn´t go out and fish as much as I´d like...

When we arrive to Tocantins state we will be almost in the beginning of the winter (June, 2nd) but this wont be a problem since there´s no cold season up there due to the proximity to equator line...

I hope your knee is fine and ready to take you into a boat again...

In 2009 my biggest Pirarara was a 100 pounder (aprox)... let´s hope we can find the big guys again... if not, I will be happy to get into those unexplored rivers to fish for Peacock Bass, Araunãs, Cachorras, Apapás and other species....
