Thanks Joanne...
We're in Maine, so weren't hit as hard as some others.....Vermont is truly a
disaster, from what I can tell on the news. As are other areas....hopfully all
of your family /friends are safe and unharmed?
Lynne

I haven't seen anything from her. God, I hope she's alright.
From what I heard yesterday, there are still small hamlets that haven't been
gotten to yet in Vermont. They were airlifting food and water to several
places. As a matter of fact, I just heard helicopters flying over here a few
minutes ago.
A friend on another group from Vermont lives in Wilmington and as of yesterday
the city was still cut off. That's one place the helicopters were taking
supplies. No way in or out yet.....
The more time passes, the more I learn....there's several small communities
along the Schoharie Creek in NY (an hour to two+ hours...the way the Creek
runs... southeast of us) that are destroyed....totally cut off until roads can
be built. There are some videos on You Tube showing some of the
areas affected. Many, many more people lost their homes, everything, to the
hurricane. Donation sites are springing up all around...
But you know, NJ isn't any better.... It still overwhelms me to see pictures
and read stories....so, so sad.....
Hope we hear something from Lynne soon.....

Has anyone heard from Lynne off-line? Have been watching the past couple of days
for some response from her here, but so far there's nothing since just before
the storm hit her state of Vermont. As many here probably know if you've seen
pics of the storm in Vermont on the news, they got hit pretty hard with floods
and washed out roads. Some towns were completely cut off from the rest of the
state as roads were just swept away. It's looking like she must have lost power
and internet access, but let's hope that the extent of her problems. All too
many homes were badly flooded and I'm hoping she escaped having that damage.
Many such flooded area are still going to take up to another week or more to get
power, so hopefully we'll see something from her very soon.
