Also, about filtration. I always tell people to get a filter for at least twice as many gallons as recommended. I now only have a 500 gallon pond but my filter is for a 2,000 gallon pond. I have plans for a 2,000 gallon pond and I will more than likely have a filter for at least 4,500 gallons, if not more.
