I don't disagree many do quite well. Other's don't. Mine did well for several years and then went nuts and kept tormenting my angel who was 4X his size and had to be moved.
After being in a betta group for years and having my own wonderful betta I've learned to make sure people have what they need on hand and be mentally prepared to move the fish should the need arise.
