Males have the colors.Females are a lot less colorful.I'd say one boy with 3 females would make a heaven for him.But you'll get little territory aggression . Other males & diff spices.Will fight.Good luck! I love Gouramies.But couldn't find healthy ones.
You didn't say what size tank you had ?They also like few floating plants.Prefer live ones.Not too many where they can't get to the top of the tank for air.Diana

I noticed the pet shops around here only seem to have males and they said it's because females are not colorful.
I'd like to balance my sexes so where would you suggest getting girls and can i have 1 boy and several females?
Also can I mix different types of gouramis? perhaps just different colors of dwarf gourami.
