I just posted some pictures of my pond build project. I had a small preformed pond for about 12 years, of course like most ponders I wanted a bigger pond almost immediately, well this year I started my dream pond, my husband is not as enthusiastic about this project as I am, but he has been supportive and I think he is getting more excited as he sees progress. I have had to dig this by hand, so that took a couple of months, we now have a huge mound of dirt in our yard and I don't have a clue what I will do with it. The pond will be half under ground and half above ground and end up about 5' deep, from my estimation it should hold about 10,000 gallons when complete. Last weekend I got the footings poured, we ended up using 50, 80 lb bags of cement, now I am ready to start building the walls. It will be built out of cinder blocks and I will use something like Rubberize-it to seal. It will have two bottom drains, I also need to get those dug out and laid out.
