Hi Larry,

No, I didn't miss that part. What does moving the fish to another tank
have anything to do with it -- if you hadn't done any water changes? If you
have done any PWC's after removing the fish, you haven't told us about it.
Without changing any water, whatever organic waste compounds were left in the
water by the fish after they were moved would still be in the water, ready
for the algae to feed on, unless you took that extra step. Even though there
were no more fish in that tank, you still needed to make a partial water
change on that tank if you didn't want the algae to feed on any nitrous
products.
