Bill, I have a 29 gallon tank and I do not have live plants.
I never had any luck with live plants years ago and this
tank does not have the substrate for plants. This tank is
simply aquarium gravel, plastic plants and a couple decorations.
With the information you gave me and the little time I have had to
look it over.....I am thinking, so far, that deciding to do a cichlid tank
would require changing some of the tank decor to accomodate their
needs. More large rocks or "cave" type areas.
And then what do I do with my neons? Maybe as you mentioned
small angles that would grow up with them in the tank might be
one way to go. Don't know about angles and my water though.
But they do sell them here and I have kept them before and they
did fine. So I am thinking they might be ok in my water.
Maybe Kribs with the neons would be ok.....just thinking.
Thanks again,
Connie

Again your very welcome Connie. I have tried to go
back through the group site and find the start of
your first thread. If you have ever worked with Yahoo mail
you know that it is challenging at best to get any information from
it through its archives without giving yourself a severe headache.
What I was trying to find out is what size tank you have?
Size is another factor that guides you toward what kind of fish
you keep. I also forgot to ask, are you working with live plants?
