LOL, Bill, I guess this helps make this hobby interesting!
After I get the tank cycled my next questions are going to be about what
fish I can end up
with that live well together in a tank.
I love Kribs...would love a pair of them with some Angle fish.
Don't know if that is possible or not.
Years and years ago, before I knew anything about fishkeeping
I had a tank with 3 angle fish. Got them really small and they
survived and grew and grew! Loved them!
My perfect tank probably isn't possible. I would love
a school of Neons and couple Angle fish and a pair of Kribs.

Hi Connie,
Some fish are notorious for this, others are a bit more sneaky
about it. Now if you want to see a real "war" in the tank throw in
some Tiger Barbs! Or that poor innocent Platy? Go get yourself a handful
of them and then see what happens to that guppy! That's all part
of the fun of trying to put together a peacefull "community" tank.
Sometimes, its not as easy as to looks. Even those nice little Neeons
are not above some fin nipping from time to time.

Thanks, Donna, as usual the pet store people didn't tell me about that when
I bought the first 5 male guppies to start cycling the tank. They told me
male guppies would be fine. Then after I had several males I asked about
adding females to the mix. They warned me I needed at least 2 females for
every single male guppy I had or the males would pester the females to death
Well that meant way too many females. No one told me you shouldn't keep
male guppies without any female guppies. : (
Well, I keep learning.... that is a good thing. I do feel sorry for the
platy though.

I'm not surprised, male guppy's have only one thing on their minds. I have
never seen anyone keep them with out females in a mixed tank. I would think
frustration would make them nip fins.
