Thanks, Donna, since I have been adding 2 tsp every other day for a couple
weeks now....that is a lot of Prime in my tank. So it will take a while to
PWC all that Prime out of the water in the tank in order to get a 0 ammonia
reading. Since the fish in my tank are fine. I might try adding one or two
more fish and see how it goes.
I think I will hold off on the Prime for a while and use Stress Coat or
Tetra Safe or Aqua Safe to take the chemicals and toxic metals out of the
water rather than Prime for awhile and see if I can get 0 ammonia.

Hi Connie,
i have always had tanks read 0 or near 0 ammonia when they are cycled. I
have never had them read 2 ppms when they were fully cycled. I use Amquel
Plus but it also gives a false reading in amounts never that it is there.

I guess I would stop using it and wait for it to read 0 before you add any
fish.
