Sounds like a good plan, Ray.
How will I know when all the Prime is gone from my tank?
Is a 0 ammonia reading the only way to tell?
I remember someone saying that the Prime only lasts
24-48 hours. Do you think I should have a 0 ammonia
reading after 48 hours?
Seems like I read that members here using Prime do
have a 0 ammonia reading. Or do you stop using Prime
once the tank has cycled?
I will test this theory and see if I get a 0 ammonia reading
after several days of not using Prime. Today is PWC day.
I am thinking of doing a 3 to 4 gallon water change.
Thanks again, Ray, for the advice.
I want to error on the safe side.

Connie,
I presume you saw Donna's most recent message (?). While Dr. Tim states
that your tank is cycled -- and it well may be -- we (Donna and I) are
suggesting not to add ANY fish yet, as a precaution, until you see how your
complete lack of Prime affects your present fish. We both feel you shouldn
t have
a 2 ppm ammonia reading, even though it may be erroneous. By that time too,
when you no longer have any Prime in your water, your test result should
show Zero ammonia. If it doesn't, you'll know that the precaution was worth
the wait. Watch for any adverse effects with the fish you have now (and be
ready to add Prime again if you need to).
