Try Seachem's neutral Regulator! So easy and stable with Replenish if you have gh drops between changes. Don't even test kh!

The reason is because my tap water is around 7.4 and I try to keep the tank
around 6.8 to 7.0.
As far as limiting what species I keep to only those that match my native
water conditions to me is a little like the tail wagging the dog. Altering
the pH slightly to match my needs I feel is a small price to pay, which is
made even smaller by using everyday items like peat moss or white vinegar vs
paying for specialty pH modifiers at pet stores. Thanks.

Unless I missed it, I haven't seen any reply from you as to why you feel
you need to change your pH -- as I asked you a couple of days ago. I haven't
even seen a reply from you concerning my recommendation that you maintain
fish more favorable to your water conditions and for that matter, I haven't
seen what your pH actually is.
While I don't recommend changing your pH arbitrarily or without sound
reason, you can use white vinegar to lower the pH, if you must.
