Well then, you might be right, Larry. Sorry to hear about the lose. I think maybe PetsMart and Petco very all over the map when it comes to how good they are. They certainly don't buy the best fish, but they are for the most part OK. I think it comes down to the local manager as to how well he takes care of his livestock. If he keeps good care of his fish, there is no real problem with dealing with him. I do agree for the most part, a locally run Tropical Fish store is the place to go if available. Some of those small shops are struggling and it is nice to try and help them stay in business.

We all get our water direct from the same aquifer. No chemicals added.
Yes, I acclimated them.
The journey home took <10 minutes.
As an addendum, I've always found otoclinus to be a pretty good
indicator of water quality and I've got 12 healthy ones in that tank:-).
