Once again, I don't deny that your ideal is correct. And I used the 2
fish in a 10 gallon tank as an extreme, although not as bad as a bowl.
But I do think that a life span of 10 years, cut short by fouled water,
can't be said to havebeen "greatly shortened"
If this group is still going in 10 years, and you and I are both here,
maybe I can send you a picture of my 2 live fish :-). Probably in my 40
by then. But since that would make me 86, it's unlikely. And the
fancies don't seem to live as long as the comets and bristols do
anyway. And yes, if they die before then I'll fess up t that as well.
