Dawn.
I am not surprised at the price difference between the US and UK. It is the same with petrol and camera gear I believe.

Christine, thank you for the links.
I am a bit shocked at the prices on these tanks. I did some conversions for size and price to compare them to the US sizes/prices and am sitting here in amazement... a 33.66 gallon tank (just tank) would run $167.77! That is a bit outrageous considering here I can get a tank up to 75 gallons for $1/gallon at the local PetCo or PetSmart or any of a number of local pet stores. That is more than double the cost we would pay here in the states. For that amount of money we could get the stand, light fixture, and cover to go with it... and if it's a sale, we could also get the filter and heater included for that price. I am speechless... don't know how to react to that.
But I thank you for providing the resource in case any of my customers should need it in the future and are able to afford that kind of investment. I wish I had known about this a year or 2 ago... it could have saved a few people a lot of headaches/issues.

The website I have been looking through is at
http://www.aquariums.ltd.uk/Aquarium%20List.asp
They also have the bigger tanks - which is where I got waylaid and
realised I might need to rob a bank....
There are others - I just did a Google search when I started looking and
turned up a few - the one above is the only one I still have bookmarked
(mainly because I liked the look of their larger tanks :) )
Another one I remember is Clearseal - I've also seen them advertise
basic rectangular tanks in the UK on ebay. They produce standard
size/smaller tanks ready off the peg, so to speak, and also take orders
for customised sizes - http://www.clearseal.com/index.htm
