Re: [tropical fish club] Glass Heaters

"Maybe others are of the same impression as Dawn that the heater can

only be at the temperature it's set at?"

I never said I was the one who did it... I am well versed on aquarium heaters(among other things), have been for over 20 yrs now

Hmmm, come on now brother. Why does it have to be a matter or stupidity

and nothing else? Why can't it simply be an accident? Like forgetting to

unplug the heater when doing a water change and exposing the heating portion

of the equipment? Everyone here is above forgetfulness? What about not

even being aware there was a problem with plugging it in and THEN submerging

it? Maybe others are of the same impression as Dawn that the heater can

only be at the temperature it's set at?

I think it's a bit harsh to label anyone that commits and easily made

mistake as stupid or dumb.

Besides, the glue on the back of stamps/envelopes didn't work out too well

for Susan on Seinfeld. With regards to gum, choking certainly is hazardous

to life. ;)

Thanks,

JP

Please tell me , who would be so dumb (stupid) as to work with a glass

heater that is plugged in to the outlet and turned on

to 80 degrees and then put it into a tank of cold water or a fish tank

???????? Come on now !

If that is all the credit for "smarts" to some in this hobby....????

Well they had better take up something that they can not get hurt on...

Like stamp collecting , or bubble gum chewing.
