I have my timers on for 12 hours. It doesn't come on until 10 am and gives them time to wake up. I don't see how any could be on 24 hours as that causes algae growth. Not enough light causes diatoms. I think I finally have it pretty well balanced. Deborah

After I wake up in the morning I remove the box and sometimes I see the betta at the bottom still sleeping something that it doesn't happen if I leave the tank uncovered.Am I doing something stupid even though with good intention?
