[tropical fish club] brown algae

 

Question: I have brown algae accumulating in my 75 gallon african Cichlid tank. I have the light on about 10 hours a day for the few live plants I have in the tank (yes, the cichlids have not dug them up yet).

Is there an algae eating fish that would work well with the cichlids?

Should I try to rely on chemical treatment to control the algae?

opinions?
