Thanks to all for the suggestions and advice in response to my catfish
and loaches inquiry. It's been very helpful!

Yesterday I did a thorough clean of my aquarium and accessories, and
today I'm heading out to a local shop to pick up some plants. I'm
still a few weeks away from actually getting any fish.

So, I'm still in research mode for future aquatic residents. So please
keep the suggestions coming!
