>Hi. A quick update, after treating my tank with the flubendazole the swollen Gourami deflated almost overnight and the white stringy waste seemed to stop but that was short lived.

>Although he hasn't swollen again he has still got the stringy waste problem, and now he seems to be shrinking, I would guess he is 15-20% smaller than he was and also has less colour.

>He's not at the top of the tank anymore and is still eating well, so I am still hopeful.

>One of my balloon Mollies died he didn't look ill I just found him dead one morning.

>Some of the other fish have started glancing, not a lot just now and then, the flubendazole treatment is also anti fluke so I will just keep an eye on it, hopefully it will sort itself out.

>I am a little worried about my shrinking Gourami I don't want to end up with a neon tetra, is there anything else I can do for him, I read somewhere that crushed garlic can be beneficial, any thoughts?
>
>I am intending to re-treat the tank in two days time as per instructions, any idea on how long it should be before the stringy waste stops? I'm guessing that is why he is getting smaller.
