Hi Donna. The bullying started to become a problem so I decided to isolate the sick Gourami in one of those fine mesh net things that hook into the tank so that problem is solved for now, I was a little worried about stressing him more but he seems O.K, it also gives me the advantage of being able to feed him little and often.
The two Gourami's were originally the same size so they would give each other as good as they got, and they sort of settled for half the tank each, I think now the sick one is a lot smaller the healthy one is trying to run him out of town.
The main problem is if he survives I would guess it's going to take a long while for him to regain he's body mass in order to put up a fight against the healthy fish, and I'm not sure how long it is wise to keep him isolated.
I have just done a 30% water change and re-treated with the flubendazole as per instructions, he seems a little better but progress seems very slow, or maybe I am expecting too much too soon.
He is still eating well and the stringy waste seems a little better, the rest of the fish have stopped glancing so maybe I am doing something right.
Will try to do a video when I get more time.
Gator wrestling is starting to look good again.
Chris.
