Thanks for letting me join this list, but it is not for me. I've been lurking for a few weeks and have decided to " move on". I used to breed Angel Fish and now am getting back into the hobby.
For me, I'll do it the "OLD" way. Set up a new tank, use chlorene remover, innoculate with some old water from an existing tank, stock with guppies for further aging, and then stock with desired fish. From then on, change 20 % water per week. Worked for me every time. For me this is a hobby in which to have fun. I learned a long time ago if you start "doping" tanks with man made chemicals you will spend a lot of money and set yourself up for constant "adjusting" and become a slave to the process. Too much work and effort for me. I think a lot of you have fallen into the trap of Tropical Fish Suppliers "hype" and advertising schemes. I'm in this for enjoyment and not a chemistry course or work. Some would say I don't know what I am talking about, except for the fact I had great results following my past process. I'll be doing it again.
Take care,
Lee
