Works great for me. I don't have enough tanks to mix a gallon at a
time, so I only mix a pint and that does me for a month with
twice-monthly dosing. I told the vendor I wouldn't be buying any more -
one package is a lifetime supply :-).
That takes care of the nutrients - the lighting and temperature are
pretty much dependent on the type of plant.
For me, buying plants locally is pretty much a lost cause. I get them
from one of the online vendors or via AquaBid.
