Hi Ray. Thanks again for the help; unfortunately the treatments you mention don't seem to be available here in the U.K.
I decided to go with the Heximita diagnosis and taking the advice of the local aquatic centre purchased what I have been told is the equivalent of the jungle labs treatment.
The stuff contains flubendazole and is made by NT labs, I'm a bit sceptical of this guy's knowledge at the aquatic centres but things are looking better for my Gourami already.
I did a 30% water change yesterday removed the carbon filter and administered the correct dose, today the Gourami looks a little better the white stringy waste has gone and he seems a little less swollen so fingers crossed, I must say I am a little surprised at how fast things have improved.
The only other thing I have noticed is one of my Mollies has started glancing as well; I will keep a close eye on the rest of the fish.
Any way I have decided not to bother with the gator wrestling and stick with my fish.
Thanks again everyone and will keep you posted on the Gourami's progress.
