Thanks, Cari, but it is only two buckets at a time. Two filled to cool off
with new water
and later two buckets filled with old water to dump.

I use a Pur filter and it has a light to indicate when it's done. I believe
it's reservoir water. I just feel one way or another, things on our
environment come into our home. That gave me an idea though ... as much as I
like the idea of getting all buff from Connies 5 gallon jug method (grim) -
maybe since I'm concerned I could stuff a carbon insert in the water changer
and let the fresh water run through that. Connie, I do have a 5 gallon jug
for my frog tank ... It is HEAVY!!! I usually do 3 gallons at a time. When I
filled the 55 with it, I thought ill hardly be able to change the water if
it's this hard.

Hi Cari,
With you being concerned about your neighbor spraying insecticides, I have
to guess that you must get your water from a private well on your property,
and that these pesticides may be getting down into your water table. It
probably would be a good idea in that case, to run your water through a
carbon
filter at your faucet -- but since you can't know when the carbon is used up
or saturated with contaminents, it's best to change it more frequently than
not.
